Editorial policy

How we explain things.

Start with a question

Every lesson should help a reader explain or predict something specific. We use worked examples instead of repeating definitions, and separate broad ideas from rules that belong to a particular protocol.

Go to the source

We prefer protocol specifications, implementation documentation, standards, and original research. Sources are listed with the part of the explanation they support. Older documentation is used for stable concepts, with limits stated where implementation details have changed.

Review before publication

AI tools may assist with research, prose, code, and diagrams. Generated articles remain drafts until a responsible human checks technical claims, sources, examples, and presentation. A published byline and review date record actual editorial responsibility. We do not imply expert credentials or independent review where none has been established.

Models have boundaries

Experiments describe their assumptions. A correct equation in a simplified model is not evidence that a real transaction would be accepted or a payment would succeed. We test model behavior and preserve explanations for readers who cannot run the interactive version.

Corrections and revisions

Substantive changes should include a revision note in the article’s source history and a new review when claims change. Report a correction through the publication’s contact method when available. We assess the claim against its sources and explain significant corrections.

Advertising and independence

Advertising, if activated, is labeled and separated from experiments and navigation. Advertising decisions do not determine technical conclusions. An advertisement is not an editorial recommendation. We do not sell article rankings or present paid placements as independent lessons.
